You and I both know that Olasky is NOT Bush's "ethics advisor". Why do you persist in repeating this lie?

Hate makes one irrational. JLA

You are hilarious. Larry Flynt? Clinton? Jesse Jackson? How'd they get into this discussion? Oh yes, I remember; you think if I have contempt for Bush, and cite a reason, a good thing to do (after denying the truth) is to post lists of contemptible jerks and imply I like them.

Here's a proposition. Bush, in an interview cited in the WSJ, referred to Olasky as his "ethics advisor." In the same sequence in which he described Olasky as his "ethics advisor," he described Condy Rice as his "chief foreign policy advisor." It is there. You could find it if it were of interest to you.

Maybe you weren't part of the Reagan discussions. I don't think Reagan was a liar in the same sense that Gore is. I think Reagan convinced himself that lies were truths. He was delusional. It's not quite the same thing. Gore is probably delusional, too, but he is also a plain, unadorned liar.

Now, it would be some trouble for me to look this Olasky citation up. But it would be worth going to the trouble, under this condition:

You, Neocoon and JLALOL, will agree to post these words:

"I admit that George W. Bush described Olasky as his 'ethics advisor,' and admit further that George W. Bush has made a choice so grotesquely dubious that it makes me feel funny."

Okay? Is it a deal?

I should mention that the New Republic, from which I got the quote below, describes Olasky as George W. Bush's "advisor." Oh, you think they made it up? Of course you do.

Now, you would seem to be implying that the rebarbative Larry Flynt is someone whom I approve. Is that what you are doing? I wonder why you would do that. Hmmm. Thinking, thinking.

This guy is Bush's ethics advisor, according not to me, but to Bush. As I said, I will spend some time finding the exact quote if you and some of your fellow Bush fans will make it worth my while in terms of fun. What statement of condemnation of Bush's intelligence will you make if you are forced to admit Bush called this silly person his "ethics advisor"? In fact, let's compromise: what statement are you willing to make based on this silly person just being his "advisor"?

Statement made by George W. Bush's Frightened and Puzzled (Ethics) Advisor in interview in "Journal For Biblical Manhood and Womanhood.": (I did not, I promise, make up the name of this journal.)

"God does not forbid women to be leaders in society, but when that occurs it's
usually because of the abdication of men. As in the situation of Deborah and Barak,
there's a certain shame attached to it. I would vote for a woman for the presidency
in some situations, but again, there's a certain shame attached. Why don't you have a
man who's able to step forward? God's Word says very plainly that an elder is to be
a man; he is to be the husband of one wife. It's harder when there are women who
are CEOs of companies and so forth. Still, it comes down to the question of 'Do we
trust God and do we believe that He has wisdom that we don't have.'"

I think Olasky may well be termed Bush's "ethics adviser." He is certainly deeply concerned with ethics, and is also Bush's adviser. Olasky is also a really super nut. Presently a Presbyterian, he was born a Jew (probably didn't Bar Mitzah since he claims to have become an atheist at age 14. While others were fighting for capitalism (or hiding out in the National Guard) in 1972, Olasky joined the communist party. He is obviously brilliant and productive. I wonder if he admitted being a communist on his DuPont and UT job applications?
