Chuck,

There is no motherboard problem. However it DOES take a while to get production volumes up on the new socket form factor. Testing, etc.

Additionally, AMD wants to transition more slowly to ppga so that motherboards makers don't get burned with an overhang of slot a supply.

He also said a smooth ramp. That would fit in quite well with a 1.25G intro of TBird that was mentioned earlier yesterday.
