The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, April 13, edition that high
prices of platinum and palladium are attracting interest to the Sudbury
area. The Globe's Business Report column says Inco reported yesterday that
its new base metal discovery at the Totten mine contained 8.4 million
tonnes of ore, which includes 4.7 grams of platinum-group metals. Also
yesterday, Pacific Northwest Capital reported results from four new drill
holes -- adding to the three previously reported -- in the Sudbury area
assaying 1.6 to 2.5 grams and extending the drilling over 800 metres. The
company's shares last traded at $3.90 before being halted on the Canadian
Venture Exchange Monday.
