One word: Distribution.

If this is a bear market, then every rally in the first legs of the bear will forward will be characterised by distribution. If this is a bear, the process will be relentless.

Rallies may get shorted (and the margined sold) until shorts start getting burned. Then they will cover. Not happening yet. But probably will soon. Surprisingly, the best thing that happened was the weakness during the last week...as a ton of shorts entered positions. And, as we know, most "nice" runs are short induced. IMHO, now is not the time to short. But I have been very wrong before.
