I understand what you are saying, just asking questions.

If we "warehouse" them then what? Why should society approve of paying the cost of keeping a murderer in housing, clothing, food, not to mention all the frills of the current prisons which include internet access, work out facilities, even getting paid for work. If I remember right it cost something like 18K a year just to keep one prisoner?

What about the rights of victims families.

How about this. How about building labor intensive prisons, where every inmate works , and every penny an inmate (speking only of murderers) earns, goes to the victims family or estate? And if they refuse to work, then no food, etc.etc.
