I am going to make my first ever market prediction:

At 30 minutes to the closing we are going to start going up for good. If not then I will predict we will either go side ways or we will go down further.

Evening Sting1935:

I remember my friend commenting on the airworthyness of the Thud. If you can't bomb it or shoot it, you crash into it.

Air Combat was a facinating experience for allof us wanna be's. The morning session is geared to discussing ACM (Air Combat Maneuvering). They indicated that most of the maneuvers have not changed since WWI (if WW I was supposed to the war to end all other wars, then why did they give it a number?). Energy management is the key. We are taught maneuers in pre briefing. Afterwords, were fitted with greenbags and parachutes. The instructors were all great, and easy to get along with. They commented dryly " I don't really know how these things (aircraft stick) works. All I know it when you put it down, the buildings get bigger. When you bring it back, they get smaller.

After being fitted with the parachute and instructed that if we have to punch out, her will punch us out for us. All we need to do is place our left hand in front of the visor and use your right hand to pull the "D" ring to release the parachute.One of us asked, what happens if the chute doesnt deploy? He replied "...just keep pulling the "D" ring... it'll give you something to do on the way down..."

After morning briefing, instruction, doning on the flight suit, parachute and helmet, were off to the Marchetti SF 260 (a NATO fighter trainer). I have to admit, it felt that I was strapping the plane on to my self. I felt that I was one with the airplane (no Zen implied). The HUD was adjusted to us as needed. We reviewed the controls and protocols, taxied out , and finally went out on our way. Planes take off two at a time from the same runway. After takeoff, weheaded out to the ocean off Jones Beach. We practiced our maneuvers, practiced sighting and got the feel of the controls and flew in close formation. After feeling comforatble with the aircraft, and getting the practice in, we started the dog fight sequence. The price includes 6 dog fight encounters. All i can tell you was after 6 enocunters and pulling up to 6 G's I was drenched in persperation. There are no O2 masks used. For safety purposes, the had deck is set at 5000 feet. Anyone going below it is considered an automatic kill. What made this most intense was that we were allowed to use our wits and whatever we could muster to "kill" the opponent. "If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying!" was the mantra.

After the combat sequence and acrobatics following that we returned to "base" and took out the video tapes from both planes and underwent a post flight debriefing, then took home the tape as a souvenier.

I was hoping that with the market going up, I was considering using some of the profits to Sukoi 27 of Mig 29 @ $13,000 a pop. Now with the market crashing, I'll end up flying a desk.

So much for reversal of fourtunes. One of my biggest problems is where to draw the line and sell. Many (I shouldn't be speaking for others) end up selling at the bottom. That is why I held on, but got (and continue to) get killed with margin calls.

This ain't fun.
