Intel to split 2-1!

Don't think this has been posted yet, but I noticed yesterday that Intel's Definitive Proxy Statement was out and they are asking shareholders to increase the number of authorized shares outstanding from 4.5 billion to 10 billion, making room for a 2-1 stock split anytime after their annual meeting.

Clearly Intel's management has a much more bullish outlook than AMD's! (AMD's proxy material shows no increase from 250 million shares, so a 2-1 split is not possible.)

niceguy,

I would not be surprised if the stock gets to $80 or more if Intc has good earnings and NAZ rallies.

I see $60 as unlikely but possible if some major company misses and NAZ tanks further.

I see that you fail to understand that your multiple daily posts, sometimes on an hourly price changes is aggravating several folks on the thread. I would hope that you show some sensitivity and curb this.

However its a free country and you have every right to annoy those of us that are irritated.

regards,

Kash
