Together with the bug, that Windows 2000 cannot be used as a webserver for more than 50 IP addresses, this is really a bad publicity for W2K's use in the internet industry.

<<""Microsoft software glitch may allow access to Web sites REDMOND, Wash.--Microsoft said its engineers included a secret phrase, "Netscape engineers are weenies," in some software that could be used to gain illicit access to hundreds of thousands of Internet sites worldwide, according to reports.">>

As Bill Gates would say, "That's not a bug. It's a feature."

Actually, it's intentional illegal entry.

Microsoft may try to lay blame on their engineer staff and fire them or whatever. But they have got to take full responsibility for this or I see major lawsuits in the works.

Now that the information is out. I'm sure hundreds of hackers out there are asking themselves, "Cool! How do I use that to get into e-commerce sites and steal or delete millions of financial transactions!"

This is most unprofessional of them.
