Interesting day! Gold and silver did nothing while the PGM's were THE flight to quality <g>. Platinum up $6 and Palladium up $20. All of the River Valley stuff held its own I thought, with AQI showing the most strength, interestingly. ITF would probably have done better if anyone had any idea of what they own <g>. MMIN looks like it got oversold. They need to get on cdnx. Personally, I am guessing Russia doesn't have much in the way of palladium and what they do have they are just going to dribble out. If we get speculation in the PGM's besides industrial demand factors, supplies could dramatically decrease causing a real speculation cycle. Japan but the kabosh on speculation in palladium just like the US did with silver during the Hunt brothers trip. So palladium is actually doing quite well despite the Japanese efforts to squash speculation. As we all know if the PGM's rise it makes for a lot more ore and in many instances the rise from here is all bottom line profits. I just thought it very interesting that the precious metal that people fled to was not gold or silver but the PGM's - even Rhodium was up 25 bucks. I think the River Valley is going to be real good to us. I am hoping that PFN and co. decides to add a few more drills and if ITF has a bunch of property to put a few on there as well <vbg>. The PGM's seem to be spread throughout the area, in just so so commercial grades (so far - and if the price rises the grades won't be so, so so, lol), but a lot of it; so I am guessing it would pay for drilling to be pretty continuous (I am not a geologist, I am a social scientist - lol, so I am never totally sure I have figured this out correctly <G>). But in my opinion River Valley was the winner today, considering the panic; and I would have added to my position in ITF if I new what they had, specifically. I can only buy so much of a stock without knowing anything at all about it (although I haven't let that slow me down too much - lol) - other than ITF owning 1 million shares of PFN. Everyone have a nice weekend. PHPI
