Thanks for dropping in with the words of wisdom. On what basis do you set this target price?

I'm a lot higher than you on price target. But maybe my time horizon is longer. I noticed that shorts covered 2.1m shares recently. Probably buying the disgruntled sterling buyers/holders. Jasmine is hot. Oracle is not the world's only software vendor. The Platinum deal should start bearing fruit over the next two quarters. Upgrades of Unicenter in the second half should also help propel earnings into '01 and beyond. I wonder if the recent weakness is not due to IBM's poor showing on the OS/390 system. Sterlings SOLVE is a 390 solution and may give some short term jitters. I base my investment on the distributed systems growth+mainframe and not the other way around. I just remember when Oracle's stock got pounded because of concerns over mainframe sales. Look at it now. Is CA any different? Surely not and at a PE of 14 is an incredible buy. If my thinking is right the shorts were actually longs in disguise. Show me more! Sterlings 500m cash. The shareholder settlement worth 50 cents/share. What is wrong?
Absolutely nothing. BUY BUY BUY!!!!!!!!!!
