They estimate that this would have added $30 to $50 to the cost of making the PS2.

Was that for the manufacturing cost only, or did it actually include the cost of the DRAM? Given the fairly large disparity between DRDRAM prices and SDRAM prices, it seems a little hard to accept that the additional pins would be that expensive.
