You guys will not believe what has just happened to me if today and tomorrow aren't already bad enough! I have been dealing with the one year date tomorrow of my father-in-law's passing away whom I love,miss and admire greatly for about two weeks now and can't start to imagine how my wife and family feel if I feel like this. So I sent them to New Orleans to be with her mom and the rest of her brothers and sisters(also to hide the stress of the market that I'm dealing with because they shouldn't and won't deal with that pain)It hurts so bad because the last thing I promised him was that I would take care of his little girl and his wife for the rest of their lives and this is not what I call taking care of them. So as the day has turned for the worse as we all know thanks to the stock market, again nobody's fault but mine things have gotten worse. Before they left my youngest daughter was complaining about the ice having a funny taste so I told her that when she came back the ice would be absolutely perfect. So right after I apologized to Stuart I decided I would fry some chicken and change out the water filter to the ice maker. I started the chicken, so I thought, and then started on the water filter and after I finished the filter changing I pushed the refrigerator back in the opening I herd a loud noise.( I have a very bad back from an accident two years ago) I pulled the refrigerator back out to find that the filter had fallen off the top of the frige and broke as it hit the floor gushing water every where. I couldn't get to the small valve fast enough and had to actually lift the front of the frige to pull it out enough and in that amount of time I ended up with about two inches of water through the kitchen, breakfast and dining areas. As I rushed for the mop and towels I remembered I had the chicken on all this time and ran to the stove waiting to see it on fire! I then realized that in the excitement I didn't have the knob on the cook top opened all the way for the pilot light to light the flame. With the water turmoil still in my head I turned the knob wide open to light the pilot and when I did all the gas that had been escaping when it wasn't lit, ignited causing a small explosion burning all the hair off both arms and one of my eyebrows. I've just finish cleaning up the mess and I am fit to be tired so please let's all take time to give thanks that we are still here and have our families and our health.
