My humble guess is that this sell off is being fed by margin calls which are in the process of unwinding. I also believe a much bigger factor may be money managers who haven't seen this kind of sell off and are either brain locked or selling in panic. The baby boomer retirement money is still flowing into this market and I have to think a huge amount af cash is sitting idle waiting for fear to subside. When it goes to work the mother of all rallies will begin. The wall of worry is here and it will be soon time to climb it. Anyone remember '87 when the dow lost about 40% in a day?
