Not only don't Americans have to fear their governments, as the people of places like Cuba and Mexico do, residents of Miami have no fear of the Cuban Exile Freedom fighters.

I've lived in Miami most of my life. I don't speak spanish and have no desire to learn. But, I have a lot of admiration for the Cuban exiles and feel perfectly at ease and safe in their company.

Juan, Elian's "supposid" father, lacks courage by not going to Miami. Of course, under Castro, most Cubans have been brainwashed into fearing the government and their neighbors. That is why this is such a great example of how bad and incompetent the tyrant Castro is, and how great the U.S. democracy is.

The Miami Cuban Exiles are showing the world, what peaceful protest against a democratic government really means! Unlike Elian's father, the Miami Cuban exiles are showing real courage!
