Glad to see you following the Rambus way on the obnoxious front, Jim. Why don't you threaten to sue him?

Hey, jim, my dear friend, I have no position in RMBS right now, should I be disallowed my posting privileges on this thread? I said before, we should "love" our friendly bears, they are the one that provide support in time of distress (the buyers of last resort), and they sure know how to out a fire under this stock in times of their own distress (witness a recent run from $66 to $471).

I would welcome the bears in open hand, it is bringing the IEI to -2.75, just an iota away from a loud buy signal.

Jim,

Take a look at Scumbria profile and the quotation he gives. He is not for real IMO!

He's for real. I don't read the Intel or AMD threads actively but I believe he, Tenchusatsu, Paul Engel, et. al. have some reasonable discussions. Believe me, I'd rather have him than some of the others we seem to be attracting lately. At least he knows what he's talking about (even if his opinions vary), has been around the Rambus issue for awhile so he doesn't make completely bizarro statements (as some who appear to have been in suspended animation for the last 3-6 months do), and is civil when spoken to civilly. But he has an agenda, as do we all, generally in support of AMD.

Dave

p.s. For all the arguing we do on the board, I think it pays to keep in mind that Rambus has not won the game nor have they lost. What we're doing is arguing about who's going to win the game when we're still in the first inning. Each side is claiming that Rambus is going to be a winner or loser based on the equivalent of the lead off batter getting a single or thrown out in the first inning. Well, to win, you have to score runs, and to score runs you have to get men on base. Whether it was delayed or not, chipsets with Rambus support are now shipping. And the price is coming down. So we at least have a couple of men on base. But there's still a lot of game left.

God, I hate sports analogies. But they work so well <G>.

<I would not be surprised if he is being paid to do this ..
He is wasting everyones time on his repetitious propaganda. :)>

Please take a close look at your own messages, e.g:
Message 13435000
<..they [AMD]will have to use RDRAM to minimize latency and reduce the total system cost.
The fact that the two rambus chips in PS2 have saved
something does not prove that the big RIMM-based
system has any cost savings at all. The facts at DEll
tells us just opposite, also check RIMM prices...

You have been provided with many evidences that
Rambus idea DOES NOT WORK FOR BIG UPGRADABLE SYSTEM,
where it has no benefits in latency, and the cost
speaks for itself everywhere. Intel designs future
servers with DDR. They bet their roadmap on ADT
without Rambus in the coalition. Yet you still
continue to post your repetitious nonsense,
which apparently is the _propaganda_.
The above ideas to be paid for this seems to
be triggered by you own agenda on this thread.
Only a very dumb person cannot see the facts,
or a person who is paid to do so. I suspect
the latter about you, hypocrite.

Jim,

I would not be surprised if he is being paid to do this as some are reputed to be on the Yahoo thread.
He appears to have no position in the stock.

Sorry to disappoint you, but my only compensation is the pleasure of discourse.

I thought very seriously about shorting RMBS a few weeks ago, but the AMD thread talked me out of it. Big mistake!
