Right on target!

AMD has to oppose RDRAM until it has a product to complete. Otherwise they risk a mass abandonment of their own platforms to the new standard. Then they will throw their support to RAMBUS and maybe try to get some of the stock warrants for partnering.

The 400 MHZ FSB will very effectively show the benefits of RDRAM. It looks like a dual channel RDRAM configuration is required to achieve maximum bandwidth and minimum average latency.

It looks like Scumbria last stand will be latency. Of course, he is focusing on initial latency and not average system latency. All that counts is the average system latency.
