>>you are a certainly a revisionist<<

tip, this sent me searching through the notes at the time b/c i don't see myself revising anything. here are some examples...

chris, i think greenspan wants to avoid a decline of any type. a decline isn't good in an election year. unfortunately, i
think he has to continue to pump this bubble or it will decline. i'm in 100% cash by this september no matter what.
market forces may beat him back and / after the election anything can happen. jmho. it will be interesting.

cris, i'm holding some value stocks b/c i think greesnpam foments this bubble to get the demos elected...

les, i have to agree liquidity theory has been the only explanation for this market. too much $$$ chasing too few
stocks. will greenbean stop stroking clinton? i doubt it. there may be a correction, but you will see reckless attempts to inject financial crack into a drunk market.

i've been comparing my "value" portfolio to the high flyer "markets." seems my portfolio does well when the markets are flat to slightly down. big up days in the market usually mean down days in my stocks.

seems there is not enough money to keep all cylinders firing all the time.

let them love it in the small stocks until i can get out of some positions! ;-)

4. the suckers ride the wave while it is good, taking out more debt to buy more shares at the top and... the future has yet to be written, but i think i know what will happen...

tipster, remember, reality doesn't influence actions, perception does. reality carries a big stick, but there are a lot of numb folks out there ;-)

bill has keyed in on the perception that is driving this nonsense - and if not driving it, enabling it or rationalizing it.

i'm w/ you. everyone is wrong and their *ss will be tarred and feathered. p-p-p-p-please let me out of the market before it happens ;-)

Message 12784241

i'm out as soon as my new broker gets set up. 100% cash and plan to stay that way... even for years and years and years...

Message 12786330

tip, he controls the fuel feeding this fire. he might not be able to do it... but he might, too... the people are sure willing...

tip, this is totally consistent w/ what i have been saying. to say i said that the bubble WOULD not burst until after the election is just not true. what i clearly said, time and time again, is that folks in powerful places were spending lots of time and money to keep it afloat and they might be able to do it. i NEVER guaranteed they would. the powers that be will try and resurrect this market. TRUST ME on that one. i am not guaranteeing they can. but they will try.

even more compelling are my actions. if i thought the market was going to go higher and higher, why would i make statements about going cash (and did go cash in every stock that i deemed fair value or above - i don't sell low on gen'l principle) and staying there for years?

there are more posts, i'm sure, but it took long enough to find these.

i did tease you when the market ran up. of that, i am guilty. but i am not guilty of saying the market won't crack before the election. if alan.com does not attempt to manipulate the markets back up than i will be wrong on that point. i think he will - and one week (not even one trading day from the BIG drop!) isn't enough to reach a conclusion on that point.
