Hey, Dan3 is somebody else, he probably knows better than to go off looking for an argument. Carl's da man, though. Aside from being a really informative poster, he's been threatened with lawyers by the Rambus guys. All I got was some sanctimonious lectures. Of course, investment wise, Scumbria's the guy to watch, he's the one who was going to short RMBS at 400.

Personally, of course, I think tying Willy to Rambus is a great idea - for AMD.

Cheers, Dan

Hi Jim McMannis; Didn't realize that the Philanderer in Chief had anything to do with Rambus. When Rambus hit the high prices, I figured that I really had some moral obligation to get people out of it. The fact is that the street ignores us and our posts pretty much completely. But mom and pop do read these threads. What was happening in Rambus felt criminal to me, in terms of the discrepancy between what was being told to design engineers and what was being told to the public. I just couldn't leave it lying around. At the same time, I have to admit I've participated in running the shorts on a stock or two. The secret is to get out as soon as the volume decreases, usually.

My buddy who is probably the best EE in the Seattle area says that RMBS goes belly up. I'm not convinced, I just think its pretty clear that the memory houses are dumping it.
