Completely Off-Topic> . . . Crazy Cardinal. . .Pt. II. . .

For those missing the original Cardinal post. . .Pt I: Message 13426287

Pt II:

That loony bird outside has NOT stopped bashing his beak against my window. . . 7 days a week from dawn to dusk. Even hung my bright orange hunting jacket in the window.. . .thinking he would either think it was a great big bird or that it would change the reflection he saw. . . no luck. . . he just whacks against any part of the window where the jacket isn't.

I spent most all of the weekend in another part of the house. Do you think I found peace? Not any more than any of us have found from these markets. . .

That persistent pest found the nearest window to where I was sitting and started whacking against it. Suddenly recalling the first verse to the song, "Close to You." . . . LOL!

That stubborn pointy headed fire engine red bird brain is driving me out of my tree! You should have seen me yesterday trying to explain his behavior to my guests. I said, "Oh don't mind him, he just wants attention."

Next move. . . I'll have the kids help me cut out dozens of decoy male cardinals, using construction paper. . .then hang them in all the windows both inside and out. . .in hopes that he thinks he is out numbered.

If that doesn't work, I'll get a large lens and hang it just outside the window. . . so that when he flies up. . .he sees one MASSIVE cardinal flying toward him. Hopefully, that will send him away with just a minor coronary condition.

Anyone know a good bird whisperer?

Otherwise, I polish his feathers with 12 gauge lead bird shot. . . then hang him upright in the dogwood trees and take some nature photos. . . .<just kidding. . .no nasty letters, please>

Accepting humane remedies while there is still time. . . please specify <Off-Topic>
