Charles, remember Summers' mantra about the strong dollar...he's also the one who's presiding over the exchange stabilization fund which is used for who-knows-what. they're not accountable to anyone after all. the connections of this administration to WS are also undeniably strong. and guess who are the biggest shorters of gold...:) even the rather laid-back conservative Economist recently admitted that something doesn't smell right in the gold market in view of the big supply/demand deficit. regards, hb
