Heinz:

No mystery about why the US is doing all it can to trash gold. But why are the Europeans playing along? After all it is the European CBs -- not the Treasury -- who are providing the dirt cheap leased gold that is keeping the price depressed. Furthermore flooding the market with cheap leased gold is reducing the price they get for the gold they want to sell.

Clearly they are NOT trying to get the best price for their gold. Why are they trashing the value of their own assets in order to support the speculative shorts? Clearly there is a hidden agenda here.

Interesting that the scenario which most people didn't expect tthat the NAZDAQ would rally strongly is exactly
what happened. How this market continues to confound ?
I picked up some NEM today. The carnage of the last few days
has convinced me that when the top comes, there might not
be time to get out. Incidentally the San Jose Mercury News
had an article on how church attendance increased this
Sunday and people were reflecting on core values like family etc instead of unbridled pursuit of money. Incidentally
commercial real estate here in San Jose rivals that of Tokyo. I don't know whether that is Tokyo 1989 or Tokyo 2000.

Thanks
