Can you tell me why you expect Intel to drop support of Rambus? I do not give a rat's ass as to whether or not DDRAM is better than RDRAM. The fact of the matter is that Intel designed RDRAM into their chipset and are not about to give into the Monkey and support something that the Monkey wants. I really do not give a S**T if AMD and VIA want DDRAM to be the standard. What are their market shares compared to Intel's. Do you have any clue as to what the Gorilla Game is about? Have you read the book?

Personally from what I have read RDRAM is a better choice.
BUT does it matter? I think not. If you were Intel would you really back down now and if so to wha (SDRAM). There current chpsets do not support SDRAM very well.

Where is all the DDRAM product anyway? Who has the lead?
What is the value chain for DDRAM and what is the value chain for Rambus (MOT, LU, LSI, PMCS, VTSS, etc, etc, etc).

Ali...

>>... cannot discern between PSII application and PC applications.<<

We all understand that these are two different segments of Rambus use. But remember the "soup is still cooking on this issue of PC's." You say NAY and he says YEH! He says YEH and you say NAY! Back and forth, back and forth. You will argue like Dan Schuh on Deja that it is only about marketing by Intel and the powers to be. I remember Sony Beta Max and I don't care who had the best. I know that Apple has the best computer and operating system, but I don't care. I know that Linux has a great operating system, but I dont care. I am only concerned with Rambus and if it will become the accepted standard in PC's as well as many other ventures of use as possible. You, I, Tench, Dave B, Scumbria, and all the others with their viewpoints won't amount to a little intestinal gas in the wind when it is finally over. So, in the meantime beat your brains out trying to outdo each other, but remember in the end it won't make any difference. What will be will be. In the meantime I will have a little Burgandy or if I really get reckless, a little Scotch, and have a giggle or two while I read your's (everyone elses) posts. Good investing to all... long and short.
