jman, you have let fear overwhelm your logic. Where did you ever come up with a forecast of $450 in revenue?

He thought the quarter was only for the two months ending February 29.

Frank, the relevant question is whether Mr. Vegas is REALLY long at this time. You are right, he has spread enough FUD about QCOM which would make the shorts on Yahoo board look like reasonable people.

QCOM at 60. Right!

John

p.s. I will probably get a response from him to the effect that he has been a QCOM long for years and blah, blah.... typical.

It is quite clear that no attempt has been made by the broken record "dead money" doomsayers to analyze QCOM. What have they added to this discussion board over the past few months?

uf: I got that figure this morning from an ANALyst this morning on CNBC who obviously was way off base. Sorry about that. I started unloading my position last week and finished yesterday on the rally. So I'm currently flat on QCOM. As far as Fud goes, I've NEVER spread any Fud regarding the fundamental business of QCOM. Go try to find a post where I did. You can't. What I have discussed was my TA take on QCOM, nothing else. You call that Fud??? You can call it voodoo science - I'll accept that. I have not lost faith in the stock nor management nor the long-term outlook on QCOM. I stayed the course up until last week and yesterday. I have lost faith in the bull argument for this market this year until the 3rd or 4th quarter so I've stepped aside. I made over 7 figures in QCOM so I'm not complaining. I think my calls for the last few months regarding the "dead money" trading range have been accurate. And you call that Fud. What do you want to read on this thread UF - nothing but glowing posts to feed your own viewpoint. The thread police are at it again. Oh, BTW, if you don't like my posts, just put me on ignore. It will be your way of getting rid of another detractor. Sorry if I don't happen to agree with you - I hope that doesn't affect your ego.

re: I don't know if you even realize that you have been spreading more FUD about Q than any of their detractors.

Not once did he saying anything that wasn't true. I don't remember him saying anything other then comments about stock action. You might not like to hear his comments about TA or the word DEAD applied to QCOM, you might not believe TA or understand it, but others do. He has been nothing but been spot on, I for one value his knowledge. This is an open forum considering QCOM not a filter one.

This stock has been dead money since the beginning of the year and it still dead, and will be dead till the story is better defined.

QCOM just told us earnings will grow by one penny, even if they beat that by two, the current PE or for that matter next years PE is not justified by earnings and that is a fact. So QCOM is still a story stock and ill-defined one at that. We are in the mist a holy war II and the battle lines are being drawn as we post, now is not the time to be driving away posters because you don't like what they have to say.
