AMD shows its smarts in its K6-2+ news release this afternoon: biz.yahoo.com Notice the release time is 5:17 PM EST. This is the first time in the last few years that AMD releases its CPU product after market close. Mostly done in the morning. AMD could have released this news in conjunction with HP's new notebook news yesterday. They waited till this afternoon, and with a good reason. Perhaps, they want a confirmation from Intel's Q1 report that Intel's supply problems continue. With K6-2+ release right AFTER Intel Q1 report, AMD says that we are ready and able to supply across CPU product lines where Intel have trouble with. Rob Herb, your troops have done a good job with this one!
