The family should keep the child. No law says that Reno must send him into the clutches of the totalitarian agents that surround a father who swears that he will take Elian back to Cuba no matter what the Court says.

The Court denied Reno's request for such an order. The Court found that Reno and the INS have denied the boy his rights and not followed the asylum law. The family is correct to keep the boy away from Reno because she is not acting as a AG that enforces the law but as a Clinton-Castro political operative that does violence to the law.

>>When do you think the UN will censure the US for its abrogations of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and its continued occupation to this day of the territory gained by that treaty in blatant disregard of the fact that its brutal non-performance makes the contract quite invalid?

Non-sequitur. Cuba is run by a murdering monster who wants Elian. What matters is that people flee Cuba at risk of death.

>>And when will they speak out on its theft of the son of Juan Miguel?

LOL. Elian risked his life to leave Castro and his father. The law will recognize Elian's right for asylum from them.

<< ... the ridiculous suggestion that Juan Miguel should make an individual effort at frontal assault, ignoring the hundreds of screaming fanatics with which his son is surrounded. >>

There is no doubt that Juan Miquel would move to Miami, in a heartbeat, if he could bring his entire family with him. If Juan could move to Miami with his entire family, so that they all would be safe from Fido Castro's butcherous hands, Juan would be treated like a hero in Miami!

Juan Miquel would get the biggest hero's welcome that Miami ever had. Dangerous for Juan in Miami? Nonsense! That is just an idiotic line from the Cuban government to keep Juan away from his friends and family in Miami.
