Cirrus ... AND what about the fact that AMD will make a lot more than $5.07 per share this year! (fingers crossed) Estimates will be revised upwards in three months. At $7.00/share we're just over a 10 p/e. Did you notice that the one analyst is looking for $1.29 this quarter?!

AAPL will help us tomorrow.

Dave

BTW, thanks for the NTAP reco - AGAIN. Half of my purchase on Monday sold today at $64 (set at $65 but Schwab could only get me $64. Not a bad 35% gain in 2 days!) I'll buy right back on weakness - but I doubt there will be much of that.

What really surprises me is that even the lowest estimate for the year is $4.17, but four analysts still have a hold on the stock. I guess their recommendations aren't based on valuation.

Cirruslver,

As of 4/14 Zack's is calling for a consensus eps estimate of $3.47 in 2000; $3.69 in 2001. The recommend has moved up from 1.98 to 1.87; that's 7 strong buys, 10 moderate buys and 6 holds.

Where did you get $5.07 EPS for 2000?

ted
