Yeah, I know - sometimes it just all seems too good to be true. My only point is that they aren't infallible. And IOM if they make one mistake that leaks out the press, they will be severely punished - because of their past. Even a mistake that is easily overcome.

In fact, they did a remarkable job of staying close to Intel despite a horrendous architectural disadvantage brought in by Nexgen.

Do you or anyone else know if that was because AMD did not check out Nexgen very well? It sounds like it was very poor purchase.
