The fact is w2000 is for servers where there is competition while Millennium will be for desktops = the monopoly, the money cow. I don't buy & hold MSFT now since it obviously is not going up & split another 8x, but if I were going to play it for a run, the new software release would be a timely entry point. As for holding through earnings today note INTC & IBM beat earnings & both are down about 10 points. hmmmmm - JH

I did, and I only know a couple of people who didn't upgrade within the first six months it was available. And one of those was planning to buy a new machine soon anyway.
