Geez, those 5, 6 and 7K share trades on SWFT were not mine. How does that saying go, "I'm not paranoid if I know they are watching."

OT: Cable will slow down before DSL...

Depends on the traffic on the cable...

DSL is better in the long run... (if you can get it).

OT> Bglad, I've been having the same experience with my cable. Multiple phone calls later and a service check and the thing is what I would consider adequate. Page downloads are very fast which is great for using my broker but it seems to fade in and out which messes with the feed from Qcharts. So I get these seconds/minutes of blank screen fairly often. One day when the cable was completely out I was back on the ISP all day and didn't have a moment's problem with Qcharts feed, although the Datek pages were slow. So with the cable it's a trade off.

I don't have DSL available yet but I will switch the second it is, forfeiting a $50 install fee on the cable. Big deal. I'll be interested to hear how things are if you switch.

With DSL you have your own dedicated bandwidth and are not subject to the overload slowdowns as with cable. I think if you try it you'll like it. DSL that is 1.5 meg download and 784k upload, its fast enough for me.I have been on it for 5 months with 1 down time for 5 minutes in the evening, which we were notified of.
