TBI/VRC Merger is On Track
to be implemented by the end of the 2nd qrtr, according to both companies' managements.
I think this new VRC will prosper nicely, and I have a bunch.

But no one here has mentioned TBI/VRC much, even with yesterday's very nice move by both.

Therefore I'm going to suggest another reason to buy TBI.
Everyone is familiar with the insertion of letters into a company's symbol in order to form a word. Such as referring to SLB as SLoB, or 'The Slob'
---I suggest referring to TBI as 'TuBI' (Pronounced 'Tubby')
This will present an opportunity for many of you men which I hope will be impossible to resist.
You will be able to buy TBI next week, then (picking your time carefully) say to your wife:
"I bought a new stock today, Tubby."

The symbol TBI will no longer exist after the merger is complete,
so this opportunity (like most) is fleeting.

----------------------------------
For any who might be seriously interested in TBI/VRC,
I posted the CSFB report which details managements' reasons for liking the merger on the VRC thread a while back.

bull,

i'm looking at a potentially very nasty looking H&S on the weekly oil charts. it appears to match up with a potential H&S on the OSX and an inverse H&S on the XAL. Taken together, the three suggest caution in playing the drillers.

Obviously we are at a crucial point here, and if the resolution is bullish, I will be content to add drillers on the breakout or to find laggards with which to position my osx portfolio.

The relatively light volume during the recent rally also has me feeling cautious.
