Ish and Michael: I sympathize, Ish. I hope you want women who want first trimester abortions, or RU 486, out of government intervention too! I just got a PM that gives more examples than just the one we've stuck too in this discussion, abortion, as a conservative agenda government-intrusion enthusiasm. Here it is. Michael will find it especially interesting, I think: They want to regulate our sex practices- they want to regulate WHO we can marry (homosexuals, for example, they would ban from marriage). They want to reach into the fabric of our religious family life and teach children of OTHER faiths Christian theology- like that bullshit case of posting the 10 commandments on teh wall of the school. It isn't just abortion. Conservatives frequently want to reach into our minds by banning books, or exhibits they find morally repugnant- instead of letting everyone choose for him or herself. They are censorious and hypocritical.
