George my speculation is that as long as the dollar stays above 100, teh PPT may be able to manipulate the stock markets.

Dollar below 100 will be a phsychological trigger which will fasten outflow of capital from the US.

The only response would be higher interest rates which in turn will pressure the stock market ... kind of vicious cycle ....... lets see how it will pan out.

The problem with the spinmeisters is that they can't extricate themselves from the very web they have woven.

Any advice to reduce exposure (however realistic) is bound to have a severe impact. No one want to be the catalyst to a serious drop in values, not to mention the damage it would do to their funds or the market positions of the companies they work for.

It is kind of like the silver crash with the Hunt brothers. You can establish the position, but it is extremely difficult to capitalize on it. The moment everyone knows you are selling the market will be sold down faster than you can liquidate or reduce your position profitably.

They are just putting their heads in the sand, ignore what is happening, just hoping it will go away, that everything will turn out all right, and that is was just a bad dream.

Don't expect them to call it the way it is. They can't afford it and they know it and we know it.

Need to start looking for the next generation of gurus.
