IMO Greg Craig is about to become Elian's lawyer. And if Elain then says, "I want to go back to Cuba with Papa," Elian is going to go back to Cuba.

Robert,

I am wading through the posts and have found you to be a light of hope in this dark thread. I don't know what scares me more, the actions of our president and his servant (that did the dirty work) or the people in this country, represented by those posting here, that praise him for it.

I was watching the news this AM here in Seattle. King 5 showed a national anchor interviewing the Mayor of Miami. I was stunned at the tone of authority and rebuke the anchor took with the mayor who was expressing disgust with the actions of the feds and the administration. He nearly shut the mayor off in order to get him to address the weightier matter (in his estimation) of what the mayor was going to do about the potential for riots?
We just went through the WTO debacle up here. You want to see riots? The Cuban's "demonstrated" extreme reserve in their reaction to this insult. The liberal rabble would have set the city ablaze were the shoe on the other foot.

The press was panting for scenes of violence on the part of the protestors. When it was obvious it was not going to happen our coverage of the event ended post-haste.

You are right about the fact that our press is allowed to cover events without fear of government abuse, but this press (IMHO) spins what they show us according to the policies of the administration per the liberal handbook.

I couldn't help but wonder how many CC's of sedatives they stuck Elian with after getting him out of the area, noted the pych and med doctor that accompanied Elian to his father. The reports said he was not thrashing and that his father carried him from a car. My guess, he couldn't walk on his own accord.

The libs have shown their colors more than ever in this affair and they are as red as ever.
