A sad day in American History. Justice could have, if a Judge agreed, got a court order and walked up to the door and the family would have had to hand Elian over or be in contempt of court. They never, to my knowledge, went and made a demand for him to be turned over peacefully. Now, the attorney representing the government at the home at the time of the raid, has issued a statement that the discussions were ongoing and had not broken down and that she had advised Janet Reno they were ongoing. This has to be the most shameful, corrupt administration in American history. What do you think is their deal with Castro? There has to be one for them to not follow legal principles and be obsessed with returning this child to Cuba. Clinton and Reno should resign immediately. How can anyone vote for Democrats who want to make economic slaves of its people, tax big and give back where and how they choose (does it sound a little Communist?) take arms from law abiding citizens so they have no self defense, be a big brother (just like Castro) to the people. I think they think we are all fools and can be easily duped. Remember their handling of Waco. They could have arrested Koresh downtown and never did. Instead, they killed a lot of women and children. A very sad administration. Now, to continue this mayhem vote for Gore. He might appoint Clinton to the Supreme Court or maybe it would be Reno.
