Maybe that's what it's all about. As you say, Elian is a pawn in whose-ever hands he is --- including his loving father's, who was divorced from his mother and is remarried with a child from the second marriage. Where Elian fits into that scene is beyond me.

Nevertheless, for whatever reason, I would say he's the most famous 6 year old in history!
