That would explain a lot (their behavior regarding rambus continues to look insane). The revealed information on Intel's investment in Rambus makes it look like they've lost $10 Billion or so in an attempt to gain a few hundred million on Rambus. (Not $10 Billion yet, but by the time their new position in the CPU industry finishes shaking out, it will be close to that number) If that's what's been happening, it is the most blatant example of throwing good money after bad that I've ever seen.
