It depends on the overall market tone. Also, if there is any bad news from AMD, the high institutional ownership may cause it to drop like a rock in no time, before any of us would have a chance to bail out. But, if there is continued good news from AMD, high Institutional ownership may help AMD reach its full valuation much sooner.

The main thing I'm interested in is the current number of AMD short Interest for this month. This data has not been yet updated on Yahoo. If the short interest in AMD has gone up - with the increased institutional ownership, we may see great fireworks with any gap up in the AMD share price.
