MG, Bear Market is Not Confirmed!

I've spent the weekend starting the updating process of my
Big Boys spread sheet. First, let's consider the one year
performance of some major indexes for the year ended
4/20/00:

NDX 72.6%
COMPX 51.2%
OEX 17.4%
SPX 9.8%
DJIA 3.8%

My Big Boyz models, BASIC and BAMBI, are both Bullish!
BASIC has 39 Bullish and 24 Bearish, while BAMBI has 43
Bullish and 20 Bearish. However, since they say a picture
is worth a thousand words, I'll break it down by industry
group.

BULLISH BEARISH

Consumer Durables 4 0
Consumer Staples 3 2
Industrial Cyclicals 9 1
Energy 2 0
Finance 8 3
Health Care (Drugs) 7 1
Retail 3 1
Service 1 1
Technology 0 12
Telecom 2 3

If TRAN can break through this resistance and some
key components of DRG (i.e., PFE & LLY) can do
likewise, watch out above. OTOH some key tech players are
simply breaking back into their long term (monthly) trading
channels. The question remains: can the other legs of the
stool support the Market? The jury (wherever he is) is out.

I'm Back!

DAX ~6600 - sure looks like it }\ Fact is I cant read it clearly any more. Looks like either the DAX gorillas do not represent the German economy or somebody is lying into my face about the robustness of it all. BTW the car sales were down order of magnitude 10% on the year last time I heard about them, so dont count on Germans buying DCX - I drive one, but somebody else is paying for it (g).

On top of that I got kicked into the face by Microsoft hoopla today - there's no trading today in Germany so I was a nice sitting target in spite of all forebodings I have about the state of the world sanity.
