I am sorry to have misunderstood that very important point. A timely reminder that I should NOT believe (much less repeat) what I read in the newspaper just because it was there, especially when the information is quite dated.

So this is a child abduction case? I didn't know that. I thought it was bad enough that she removed the child from the same country as the non-custodial parent- it is MUCH worse if the father was the custodial parent. Did the mother commit a crime under Cuban law by abducting the child (setting aside the issue of her noble goal of coming to the US).
