lol ... sorry, NYers, but i'm not a fan of cities, and couldn't resist.

Like the rest of our species, Castro is neither pure black nor pure white, nor pure good nor pure evil. There is much for which to detest the man, and there is much for which to respect him. Some of us will pick one of those options, and others will at least try to stand back and see him whole and in context.

I think he's lost .... remember i brought up the Berlin Wall yesterday? ... well it's falling came suddenly, as such a surprise to the world ... yet it was only the visible manifestation of a process of change in the hearts and minds of east germans, a process of many years and many events.

That same process is now going on in the hearts and minds of cubanos, imho.
You can help it with contact and example, or you can continue to hinder it by playing the part of the outsider enemy that Castro so desperately needs. Your call.
