Where does the boy belong? I don't know. There are points to be made by both sides. However, a father's rights may override any other consideration.

The bigger issue right now is how the Justice department took the boy by use of force. It was a stupid move that luckily ended without the loss of life. Can you imagine what could have happened if someone in the house had a weapon? Does Ruby Ridge ring a bell? How about Waco? Possible us of deadly force had no justification in this matter.

It's odd that HBO tonight ran the documentary Waco - Rules of Engagement. It showed the results of the "Show of Force" mentality exercised by the FTA when something goes wrong. Not to mention the aftermath, where investigations into the account makes one wonder about the truthfulness of our government and begins to plant seeds of doubt about Justice in the U.S., especially with this administration.

I am beginning to wonder about the gun control issue. Some people say that if you take away my gun, how can I protect myself against criminals? Some people may now be beginning to wonder, if you take away my gun, how am I going to protect myself against black booted thugs from the government bashing down my door.

We are a nation of laws, and violators should be brought to justice through the court system. A use of excessive force may provoke a similar response when one believes their life is threatened. Luckily it didn't happen in this case.
