I wouldn't be so sure. Resistance to immigration is now much less than a few years back, because of the roaring economy. Economic forces have a way of affecting political decisions, and once it becomes stare-in-the-face obvious that the safety net for retiring baby boomers cannot be maintained with the available workforce, immigration will become politically less unpopular.

How old is your information? I believe that Dent originally (in his first book) projected that the depression would come much earlier. Since then, he has been moving his projected depression date back. Are you citing his current projection?
