Allan Haggett: How would you folks classify this gap if it endures? Breakaway? Can't really be exhaustion can it, since it is not at a new bottom?

I'll think future price action is needed to help answer that question. IMO

Yesterday:
I make this as the worst gap-down for the NASDAQ. The data I keep for such checks only goes back to 1984, but todays gap down of -4.86% beat out 87-Oct-26 of -4.78%...

Today:
Yikes, these are volatile and interesting times. Today is the 4th biggest gap up in my data and the biggest in a decade or so. It edged out two others from early January this year.

My puts are taking a beating, but I am in this for a wider view and we are a ways yet from my "I'm probably wrong" point.
