So far they aren't perceived as troublemakers, as they are very cooperative with authority figures. We haven't hit the rebellious phase yet. One thing I am very pleased by is how well-spoken they are. Now if only we can improve the table manners and get them to pick up clothes from the floor - but this is a long-term goal. Very long-term.

I've been waking up too early every morning because a woodpecker keeps pecking on something near the house - I haven't been able to tell if it's the house or a nearby tree, and I am always too sleepy to get up and try to find out, I just pull the pillows over my ears and try to ignore it. For the first time I just heard it during the day, and opened a window to see if I could see it, and startled it, so it flew away to a tree. I could see it had been on the roof of the house, a red-headed woodpecker, a male. So I hope it's not finding something to eat up there, but is just drumming to establish a territory. It would be nice to have a woodpecker nest - I guess. I'd feel like I was doing my bit for conservation.

If III had a dollar III would be happy, never mind one for each scream. In other news, my computer is now embargoing discussion of the "Alien Affair." Let Nick & Ben's be the last word.

PS Glad you enjoyed Vegas and the 3 tenors - I writhe with jealousy, or is it envy?
