BB, are you sure you're comparing shares authorized to the same? I'm pretty sure you're comparing them to shares outstanding, which are two different things. Also, you forgot at least the 1.1 billion shares of Liberty Media tracking stock that T has issued. T had a proposal to increase Liberty's authorized to 4 billion shares in the last vote. This looks like a simple shelf registration to me, and unless you don't trust management to use the shares in furtherance of shareholder value it's no big deal. Share issuance is not necessarily a dilutive thing.

Regards,

Barb

Big Bucks,

<What is wrong with this picture??? Not much response from
concerned shareholders.>

Much ado about nothing. There is nothing sinister in the proxy - business as usual. There is no dilution unless there were a major foul-up with the spin-off (which the investment bankers are paid plenty to keep from happening).

Kinda bearish around here today. That must explain so few "unique users" of this thread today. This stock (or the combined entities) will do fine from this point on. Have a good evening.

You suggest that serious investors in GBLX speak their minds and "Question Authority". I e-mailed my questions
to the att'n of Jensen Chow on at least 3 occasions, none of which were acknowledged, let alone answered.
Has anyone on this thread ever received a response?
I suspect that Jensen Chow is a waste basket.

You have a company that didn't even generate its first dollar of revenues until 1998, is not yet profitable (AND NOT ONE SINGLE HUMAN BEING ALIVE WOULD EXPECT IT TO BE AT THIS POINT IN TIME) and you find it logical to compare it to GM, T, MSFT and GE????????

Give me a break.

Scott W.

Big, you fail to give GBLX the credit for having the potential to be the dominant telecom company world-wide.

Big Bucks, although I understand the point you were trying to make, it would be more helpful to know the number of authorized shares of the companies used in your example. As you know Outstanding shares are not Authorized shares as the shares have to be issued. That said, the total number of shares does seem quite high given the relatively small number of shares required to cover Convertibles, Stock Options, Global Center. Acquisitions? How large are they planning? Winnick et al, is obviously looking to the distant future given the 10 year conversion price of $250 on the last Convertible that priced. So potential stock splits are factored in also. Any buyout would only include outstanding or issued shares not authorized. It will take years, if at all, to run through 4.5B shares imo.
