Uncle Stan,

FWIW, I'm looking for MSFT to double also, but it may take more than a year<g>

I was hoping you'd put off the survey for a while as I really didn't want to review the carnage in my account any more. I'm certain about my purchases, and was happy not knowing what was happening at the present moment (that's the spirit of ltb&h, right?<gg>). Was looking forward to reviewing them again in oh say December.

But since you asked (and it's certainly a moving target!):

QCOM 62%
GMST 15%
JDSU 12%
MSFT 8%
CTXS 4%

They'll all double in a year, or at least that's what Mrs nosmo's been told <ggg>
To pick one, it'd have to be Q, especially with the recent downturn.

Personal Portfolio Survey of G & K Thread

It's time to repeat the Thread Survey. By doing so, we can correlate discussion on the thread and on the Project Hunt reports with how individuals actually invest. The first Survey, completed near the end of November 1999, served as a metric for the Thread, and was used to formulate the G&K Index-2000. If you do not want to post your holdings publicly, then submit your Survey response to me by Private Mail. Participation by all active and lurking members is important to reduce bias.

The Personal Portfolio Survey will ask 2 questions:

1. What is the composition of your investment portfolio, and by what % do each of your portfolio constituents comprise that portfolio?
2. In your estimation, what is the single best stock pick to double or more in price in the next 12 months? IOW's, what is your single best pick, with the best price/safety ratio for the next 12 months? And what is the rationale behind your choice?

Some basic rules:

1. I'll take submissions starting Now and ending by 11:59pm, Friday, April 28th.
2. Please submit ONE, and only ONE, portfolio submission. Combine all of your accounts into one so as not to double count your holdings. Do not include options, puts, calls. If you are 40% Qualcomm common shares, and have 10% more investment funds in Qcom options, then just label this as being 50% Qualcomm.
3. Do not include mutual funds. Combine any cash position with any mutual funds. Mutual funds will be treated in the Survey as cash. So if you have 10% QQQ, and 5% cash holdings...please combine this and call it 15% cash. The Survey will report only individual equities and cash positions of the participants.

For an example, look for my post # 23402 as an example of how to post your Survey response.
