I'm not sure accreditation in its present form goes far enough. Will these schools be required to teach e.g. basic paleontology? How about required literature? What books would you want everybody to have read? How much of history, and whose? (This is an interesting q because I went to a German-centric school. We got scads of Continental European history, but almost none of the English history a US public diploma holder considers second nature.)

I don't intend these questions rhetorically, but rather "whaddya think" opinion gathering.
