>After Castro kicks off twenty years from now

Do you think it will take that long? He is 74 already.

There's no need to get personal Average Joe and attack my cultural underpinings. It's my understanding that one of the reasons that eastern Europeans finally decided to rise up and throw off the chains of communism is because of the western cultural influences that they were exposed to through the black market. They understood that there was a better way of doing things and that it was being done in the west.

There's no way that you can predict that Cuba will fall into chaos when Castro is gone. Russia has remained fairly stabil in its post-communist state. I was worried that it would fall into chaos, but it hasn't. Neither have most of the other CIS states or eastern Europe for that matter. What makes you think Cuba will become chaotic post-Castro? If you think it will, isn't that a good reason why we should get involved now, so we'll be able to influence them when Castro dies?

What are your reasons for wanting to keep the embargo in place?

"...After Castro kicks off twenty years from now, Cuba will be like the Balkans, one thug after another will be trying to prove who is king of the heap...."

I must admit that for once I agree with you. The thugs you speak of are the ones vying for position right now in Miami, which is the whole reason why they stirred up all this bullshit.

>>I've been to Cuba, I can assure you they have as much and probably much more culture than you. What culture are you talking about, you mean like McDonalds in France?

LOL. Yes, all those Cubas are fleeing too much "culture". I'm sure you're a regular at the Home of the Whopper too, just remember that doesn't make you the Burger King.
