All these upgrades mean nothing until Captain Jack upgrades. He has been the most right on this stock during the last 12 months. On a straight analysis of share price movement he has beaten all the boosters and analysts hands down.

He has also been very constructively critical of his view of the future.

That has left one major sour taste in ML's mouth.

Andreas,

CPQ is one of twenty stocks held in the largest number of accounts at ML. It has been like that while rated Buy and also Neutral. CPQ has been covered by three different analysts over the past few years. It would appear that ML brokers don't pay much attention to the analyst when it comes to CPQ.
