Marcos,

Yours is an enlightened post.

I link to it again Message 13502848 in the hopes that some of the rabid right wing extremists here will stumble into a loop and learn a little history.

<< Less than fifty years ago the CIA was pulling the strings of the pig Batista ... >>

At one time Batista was very popular, in Cuba, and was elected by the people in free elections. As a popularly elected President, of course the U.S. backed him. At that time, Cubans were experiencing free and prosperous times.

But, many years later, after Batista left Cuba, and then returned to Cuba, Batista became President once more. The U.S. still supported him. But, then, Batista turned into a vicious madman, and a dictator, the same as Castro is now, and the U.S. was not only opposed to Batista, but was in favor of Castro's attempt to remove Batista.

Castro, the same as Batista, was corrupted by his own greed and power, and abused it.

After Castro turned into the same selfish pig as Batista, Castro was no longer backed by the U.S..

It's interesting when you look back at history, instead of throwing out misleading slogans, as you prefer to do.
